Travis Kelce got emotional while speaking about his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in a new interview with GQ.
Newsweek reached out to Kelce’s representative via email for comment.
Why It Matters
On Tuesday, the pop star revealed her highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, in a teaser video for Wednesday’s episode of Kelce’s New Heights podcast.
Swift brought a briefcase to the show, which Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, as a prop to announce her new music.
“So I wanted to show you something,” she said, as she pulled the blurred album out of the case. “This is my brand new album The Life of a Showgirl.”

What To Know
Travis Kelce is GQ‘s September cover star, and his interview, which was published on Tuesday, comes on the heels of Swift’s new album announcement. The couple has been dating since 2023, and the 35-year-old shared details about their relationship with the magazine.
“Are there any similarities between the two of them?” the interviewer asked Travis Kelce, referring to Swift and his mom, Donna Kelce.
“Their kindness, their genuineness, their ability to say hello to everyone in the room. Their ability to show love and support no matter what,” he told the outlet.
“And on top of that, their work ethic. I saw my mother reach goals that she had set for herself, go from being a teller to working all the way up in the KeyBank building.”
The magazine noted that the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? host got “a bit emotional” before pausing to share his next thought.
“I’ve seen Taylor do the exact same thing of setting goals for herself and exceeding the expectations and really captivating the world in that regard,” he said.

GQ‘s post also received likes from Swift and Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce.
