headed to Seattle this weekend to take on the Seahawks.
It’s been a place that, historically, has caused the Vikings boatloads of trouble over years, and now, they will head out west with a new quarterback at the helm of their offense.
With J.J. McCarthy still in concussion protocol, he has officially been ruled out for Week 13, and Max Brosmer will make his first career start.
Vikings Officially Starting Max Brosmer
posting on X, “Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell announced J.J. McCarthy didn’t clear concussion protocol and undrafted rookie QB Max Brosmer will start on Sunday at Seattle.”
McCarthy suffered the injury during Minnesota’s Week 12 loss to the Green Bay Packers in a game that was a very rough performance from the young QB. He completed 12 of his 19 passes for just 87 yards while throwing a pair of interceptions.
The interceptions were McCarthy’s ninth and tenth of the season, and he has thrown an interception in all six of his starts this year, including four games with multiple picks.
