The chassis is said to be made from a magnesium-aluminum alloy, making it relatively light. According to MSI, the new Prestige 13 weighs less than one kilogram, the Prestige 14 is expected to weigh around 1.4 kilograms, and the Prestige 16 around 1.6 kilograms. All three models are 13.9 millimeters thick. MSI is installing an OLED touchscreen that also supports a stylus, which is a rarity on the notebook market.
The OLED panel is expected to reach high frame rates and brightness values, but MSI has not yet confirmed any further details. Panther Lake should not only give the laptops significantly better GPU performance, but also a battery life of up to 24 hours, although the actual runtime will, as usual, depend primarily on usage and screen brightness settings. More information on the next-generation MSI Prestige series is expected at CES in January.
