The Osmo Pocket series is long overdue for a new release. Now, various sources have obtained updated launch details relating to the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, which could launch later than previously expected.
It is no secret that DJI has been developing a successor to the Osmo Pocket 3 (curr. $518 on Amazon). Rumoured for months, the Osmo Pocket 4 was then mentioned by name in a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing at the end of last month.
Not only that, but the FCC outlined features like a 20% battery upgrade over the Osmo Pocket 3. Moreover, the Osmo Pocket 4 has been pictured several times this year across numerous leaks. Although DJI has not publicly mentioned a new Osmo Pocket release yet, the Osmo Pocket 4 was widely rumoured to debut globally before the end of the year.
In part, that was because DJI’s US ban kicks in later this month. However, Photorabz now reports that possible accessory quality control issues have prevented DJI from meeting its December target. Potentially, the camera itself could be ready to go, though.
Nonetheless, an Osmo Pocket 4 launch is now not expected to debut until January 2026. With that being said, both Photorabz and The New Camera believe that DJI will begin teasing its next Osmo Pocket vlogging camera before the end of December, during which it should confirm a global release date.
