Norway’s Reach Subsea has received all necessary regulatory and classification certifications in Australia for its uncrewed surface vessel (USV) and Remote Operations Centre, enabling full operational deployment in the country’s waters.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has issued a Certificate of Operation to Reach Subsea confirming that its approved procedures and methods of operation meet all regulatory requirements. In addition, a Full Certificate of Survey has been granted, covering both the Reach Remote 2 vessel and the Remote Operations Centre, thereby completing the full AMSA certification suite.

As for classification, DNV has issued a Certificate of Class, confirming the vessel’s compliance with applicable class rules and standards. Reach Subsea said that its Australian Remote Operations Centre is now the first DNV-certified remote operations center in the Southern Hemisphere.
