RAVENS EXTEND DL

The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up to face the Steelers this week. While they’ve had a rough season, they’re still in a position to win the AFC North. The Steelers beat them the last time that they faced off, though. That doesn’t guarantee Pittsburgh a win here, but it shows that Baltimore could be in trouble. That didn’t stop them from rewarding one member of their defense.

The Ravens announced on Twitter that they’ve given defensive lineman John Jenkins a contract extension. This is Jenkins’ first year with the Ravens, and he’s been a solid run stuffer. He’s been in the league for a while, initially getting drafted in 2013 by the New Orleans Saints. While he’s bounced around a lot, he’s got a home for the moment in Baltimore.

WATT AND ABERCROMBIE COLLABORATION

T.J. Watt’s 2025 season hasn’t gone the way anyone wanted it to. While he was solid when he was healthy, he wasn’t having the same impact that fans had gotten used to seeing. Then, he suffered a freak-accident medical injury where his lung got punctured. That’s kept him out of action for the last few weeks.

Watt still has some exciting things going on in his life, though. Abercrombie shared a video on its Instagram collaborating with Watt. They have some fun with it, making Watt sign some old photos of himself. While Watt might be a little embarrassed by some of them, it’s a funny video overall.

GREAT PORTER STAT

The Steelers’ defense didn’t live up to expectations this season. It’s had issues defending the run and the pass. While there have been some solid performances, it’s still been too inconsistent. However, Joey Porter Jr. is one very bright spot for that unit.

The Steelers relayed a statistic from Pro Football Focus on Twitter that Porter hasn’t given up a touchdown in his last 1,011 coverage snaps. That’s the longest active streak in the league. It goes to show how Porter is finally coming into his own. Hopefully, he can continue developing into a shutdown corner in Pittsburgh.
