A reliable leaker has shared fresh expectations for the Vivo X300 Ultra. Anticipated to arrive later this quarter, apparently a ‘newly added XXX’ is set to join 35 mm primary, 85 mm telephoto and 1/1.28-inch ultra-wide-angle cameras.
Digital Chat Station has returned at the start of 2026 with allegedly ‘exclusive information about an unreleased Vivo smartphone. To recap, Vivo has already launched the X300 and X300 Pro globally before Samsung has had a chance to replace the Galaxy S25 or Galaxy S25 Plus (curr. $899.99 on Amazon).
By contrast, Vivo is anticipated to unveil the X300 Ultra after Samsung announces the Galaxy S26 Ultra on February 25. Previously, Digital Chat Station reported that Vivo was working towards a March introduction for its X200 Ultra successor with a global launch thereafter, too.
Writing on Weibo, the same leaker reiterates that the X300 Ultra will join the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the OnePlus 15 in adopting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. Additionally, they write that the following camera hardware remains planned:
- Primary: 200 MP Sony Lytia 901, 1/1.12-inch optical format, 35 mm equivalent focal length
- Ultra-wide: 50 MP, 1/1.28-inch optical format
- Telephoto: 200 MP, 1/1.4-inch, 85 mm equivalent focal length
Moreover, Digital Chat Station mentions a ‘newly added XXX’, prompting speculation from their followers. Current guesses range from a multispectral sensor for improved colour accuracy to a refined teleconverter solution. Unfortunately, the leaker has not elaborated further for the time being.
