LG has shared more details about its latest 39-inch OLED gaming monitor. Arriving as the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B, the 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem OLED monitor will reach 335 nits in SDR mode and 1,500 nits when HDR mode is active.

LG has now detailed its latest 39-inch OLED gaming monitor after presenting the device at the end of last year. To recap, the company previously confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B outputs at a 5,120 x 2,160 (5K2K) resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio like the larger UltraGear OLED 45GX950A before it (curr. $1,435 on Amazon).

Likewise, the new monitor can either output at 5K2K and 165 Hz with 0.03 ms Gt G response times or 330 Hz by dropping to 1080p (2,560 x 1080). However, the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B adopts a newer 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel with improved text clarity. Moreover, LG’s new 39-inch monitor features a 1500R curvature rather than the steeper 800R curvature found on the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A.

Also, LG has confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space with 335 nits SDR and 1,500 nits peak brightness at APL 1.5%. On top of that, LG has included DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 ports, which it complements with a USB Type-C port capable of charging devices at up to 90 W. LG states that pre-orders will commence soon in Japan. Pricing and availability for other markets remain unknown for now, though.
