Former Ravens wide receiver casts his vote for Baltimore’s next OC

As the Baltimore Ravens settle into a new coaching era, their fourth, this brave new world is still being constructed. Assistants must be hired, including a new offensive coordinator. They’ll be tasked with helping Lamar Jackson return to his MVP form. One thing everyone suggests is finding reinforcements at wide receiver.

Zay Flowers is a monster, but there are times when it seems he’s the only one that create consistent separation. That’s an area where Baltimore can focus its offseason reconstruction, but that isn’t the most daunting task that this team faces. It needs to nail its OC hire. Everyone has their opinion about who that hire should be, and recently, an ex-Raven, a wide receiver nonetheless,

Willie​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Snead IV spent three seasons as a Ravens wide receiver. He caught 126 passes for 1,422 yards and reached the end zone nine times over that stretch. He believes he has the perfect solution to fill Baltimore’s vacancy at offensive coordinator.

It’s a decent idea, one shared by other former Ravens and fans. He’d provide the transition this team is hoping for.

Two things must be mentioned. He’s also being mentioned as a hot commodity on the head-coaching circuit. He has been part of the Buffalo Bills‘ organization since 2022. We’ll see if this one grows legs. So far, it hasn’t, but one thing is certain. This is an idea that few Ravens fans, and even fewer members of the Baltimore media, would oppose.
