Garmin has pushed a new update, beta version 13.24, to some of its smartwatch users. This release arrives shortly after beta version 13.23. It tackles an issue linked to the Smart Wake alarm feature experienced by some users of the Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover wearables.
Another beta update has arrived for the Garmin Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. The beta version 13.24 has been pushed to users around 24 hours after the previous update, beta version 13.23.
According to a post in the Garmin Forum, beta version 13.24 addresses a Smart Wake alarm related issue. This feature enables the Instinct 3 and related smartwatches to try to wake you up with optimal timing based on your sleep cycle. Rather than setting an exact wake time, the Smart Wake alarm will go off at some point within a 30 minute window. Garmin has now resolved a problem where users could see a timespan for a standard alarm, despite Smart Wake being disabled.
As a reminder, the slightly older beta version 13.23 update also brought a bug fix to these wearables. It tackled a problem where broadcasting heart rate data could cause the Instinct 3, Instinct E and Instinct Crossover smartwatches (curr. $649.99 at Amazon) to crash unexpectedly.
Garmin has confirmed that beta version 13.24 has been pushed to all eligible users of the smartwatches. It should land on your Instinct 3, or related smartwatch, automatically when you next connect to Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express.
