He will look to keep it going this week as he tries to catch Scottie Scheffler in the Official World Golf Rankings. He is still second behind Scheffler but has been closing the gap lately. He won the 2024 Truist Championship by five strokes over second-place finisher Xander Schauffele.
Schauffele might be McIlroy’s biggest competition again this time around, but many other great competitors, including Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Aberg, and Justin Thomas, will be vying for the trophy.
