Vijay Antony’s Tamil crime thriller Maargan has made its digital debut less than a month after its theatrical release. The Leo John Paul directorial debut is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India from July 25.
Tentkotta, an OTT platform featuring Tamil movies, will make the film available to viewers outside of India.
In a social media post, Tentkotta shared a picture of the film with the caption, “When shadows speak, the devil listens… #Maargan – The Black Devil is ready to rise and reign! Streaming from July 25 only on @tentkotta_official (Excluding India)”

The protagonist, ADGP Dhruv Guvarak (played by Vijay Antony), unofficially takes over the investigation after losing his daughter in a similar tragedy, giving the serial killer plot a human touch. The more he investigates the case, the more complicated it becomes.
Tamil actor, producer, singer, and director Vijay Antony made the OTT announcement at the Telugu press conference for his next movie, Bhadrakali, which opens in theatres on September 5, according to a local entertainment site.
Vijay Antony plays the lead role in the movie and features Kumar Natarajan, Ajay Dishan, Samuthirakani, Ramachandran Duraiyaraj, Mahanadi Shankar, and Vinod Sagar in prominent roles.
Produced by Meera Vijay Antony under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner, the film’s music was composed by Vijay Antony himself.
Critics have claimed Maargan delivers a tense procedural thriller with genre-standard elements executed with style. The majority of audience reactions have been favourable, with Google user evaluations coming in at about 4.7/5 and IMDb rating at 7.8 out of 10.
According to industry insiders, Maargan is well-positioned to join other regional titles like Kannappa and Show Time on Prime Video and Sun NXT on July 25 in a competitive wave of releases.
