Saints get first win of season with 26-14 victory over Giants

The New Orleans Saints finally get their first win of the season, beating the New York Giants 26-14 at the Superdome. The Saints have now improved to 1-4 on the year.

The Saints’ offense responds to their opening drive three-and-out with a 14-play 70-yard drive that ends with a 28-yard field goal from kicker Blake Grupe. 7-3 Giants lead.

Grupe gets his second field goal of the day, hitting from 53 yards out to pull the Saints within one score. 14-6 Giants lead.

After missing a 52-yard field goal one drive earlier, Grupe gets his third field goal of the day, hitting a 29-yarder before halftime. 16-14 Saints lead.

After a promising drive for the Giants’ offense, defensive tackle Bryan Bresee forces a fumble on rookie Cam Skattebo, and safety Jordan Howden scoops it for an 86-yard touchdown return. 26-14 Saints lead.
