Courtland Sutton's about to pass Ed McCaffrey on Broncos' all-time list

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is within reach of passing Ed McCaffrey on the team’s all-time receiving list over the next two weeks.

After hauling in six receptions for 62 yards last week, Sutton passed Steve Watson to rank sixth on Denver’s all-time receiving list with 6,113 yards. He is now just 88 yards away from passing McCaffrey to rank fifth.

Through 13 games this season, Sutton has totaled 56 receptions for 773 yards and five touchdowns. He’s averaging 59.5 yards per game, and if he keeps up that pace, he’ll pass McCaffrey in Week 16.

This week, Sutton and the Broncos will host the Green Bay Packers, who allow 185.8 passing yards per game to opponents, seventh-fewest in the NFL.

“They’re a really good team,” Sutton said of the Packers. They just came off of a really big win at home against Chicago, who is another really good team. They’re playing some really good football.”
