A 56-year-old woman was stabbed and left hospitalized in an attack by a 66-year-old woman at a ritzy co-op apartment building on the Upper East Side on Saturday, according to sources.
The brazen attack reportedly happened at 210 E. 73rd St., which sits between Second and Third Avenues in the upscale nabe.
One-bedroom units in the building can go for as much as $700,000, according to StreetEasy data.
It wasn’t clear what prompted the violence, but the 54-year-old was stabbed in the stomach and taken by first responders to Weill Cornell hospital in stable condition, according to police.
The person of interest, a 66-year-old woman, was taken into custody.
The doorman of the building told The Post that the incident happened sometime around 12:30 p.m.
The incident appeared to be a domestic dispute.
A neighbor from 220 East 73rd Street — who was smoking a cigarette outside — said that he overheard one of the women involved in the stabbing “speaking to what appeared to be her patient on the phone.”
“I had just come back from running my errands and was having a cigarette and she asked me for one,” he explained.
“And I said no, and then I heard her screaming into the phone: ‘I do everything for you, I do your laundry, I take care of you, I take care of every little thing.’”
The investigation is ongoing.
