Compass is strengthening its foothold in the Sunshine State. On Tuesday, the top-brokerage in the country by sales volume announced that the Stuart, Florida-based New Wave Group was joining the company.

A boutique brokerage on South Florida’s Treasure Coast founded in 1981, the firm specializes in luxury residential, waterfront and lifestyle properties across Martin, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties. According to the brokerage, New Wave Group has closed more than $500 million in sales over the course of its four-decade existence.

“New Wave Group has set the standard for client service and market expertise on the Treasure Coast for more than 40 years,” Jeff Polashuk, the regional vice president of Compass, said in a statement. “Their track record of success, combined with their strong community roots, makes them the ideal partner to introduce Compass’ tools, technology and network of experienced agents to this vibrant market.”

The addition of New Wave Group marks Compass’s first office in the Treasure Coast region.
