<p>The Minnesota Vikings have been plagued by the injury bug for much of the 2025 regular season.</p>
<p>Things seemed to be getting back on track in Week 12 as the Vikings went into the game relatively healthy, featuring their full group of starters on the offensive line for the first time all year.</p>
<p>However, things have quickly gone downhill once again. The Vikings ruled out two players for this weekend’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. J.J. McCarthy is out, <a href=)
meaning Max Brosmer will make his first career start at quarterback, and Vikings rookie guard Donovan Jackson is also out.

<p>Jackson was Minnesota’s first-round pick this spring after a strong collegiate career at Ohio State. It’s been a bit of an up and down season for the guard during his first NFL season, but he was putting together strong performances as of late. </p>
<p>PFF graded him at 70+ in pass protection over each of the past three games. He was not blamed for a QB pressure in either Week 11 or Week 12, an impressive feat against the defensive fronts of the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.</p>
<p>However, injuries have been a problem for Jackson during his rookie season. Sunday’s absence will mark the third game he will miss. He missed both Weeks 4 and 5 due to a wrist injury that required surgery in late September.</p>

With Jackson out, Blake Brandel likely will step into the starting lineup to take over at left guard.

Jackson and McCarthy aren’t the only injured players of note, either.
In addition, Christian Darrisaw was listed as questionable with injuries to his knee and foot. Darrisaw has been playing through the continued rehab of his ACL/MCL tear that he suffered during the 2024 season and has been listed on the injury report every week because of that knee injury.
Darrisaw missed the first two games of the season because of the injury, and if he were unable to go on Sunday, Justin Skule would be the man to step in at that left tackle position once again.

<p>Finally, the Vikings defense has some notable injuries as well. All four of Jonathan Greenard, Theo Jackson, Josh Metellus, and Jalen Redmond were listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.</p>

Redmond in particular has had an outstanding season at the defensive tackle position and currently is the team leader in sacks with four, just ahead of Dallas Turner and Eric Wilson, who both have 3.5 sacks.
Minnesota and Seattle will kick off at 3:05 p.m. Central on Sunday.
