Dear Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,
It has been some time since I saw your pretty face in the news, at least for me. Yesterday, I saw you in an interview answering a question. You stated, “We have to eliminate hypocrisy!”
Good luck with that. Although an admirable goal, it is also unrealistic as ‘eliminate’ sounds like an absolute. However, I would agree with you we have to attempt to eliminate hypocrisy, thereby hopefully minimizing it.
I think what you are missing is really quite simple. If you hope to minimize hypocrisy, why then you would need to deflate rather than inflate the political footballs that the GOP brings you? You cannot fight the battle on their terms.

Political Football 1 – Abortion – In the 50 years of political fighting over abortion, I don’t believe I ever heard one single Democratic candidate say:
“Well, I understand that is an admirable, socially redeeming goal. Even so, it’s not enforceable. It is after all a prohibition, and prohibitions have one thing in common in this country. They fail. They end in a ton of taxpayer money spent on enforcement with the agency assigned to enforce it becoming corrupt. Then, engaging with the people breaking the new laws. Does not matter if it is:
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Cannabis
- or Abortion (we have already tried that one once)
We cannot even stop people from murdering one another. So while the religious self-righteous fundamentalists think they are creating a better world, in fact they create conflict and even war. Check history of what happens when you mix government with religion. That is why we separated church and state. I don’t think any Democratic politician ever informed the voters of that. Instead it was almost always:
- Right to life
- Right to choose
This bears itself out in the recent special elections. There was a large percentage of women (and men) who felt the basic idea of abortion was wrong. Unfortunately they had no idea the self-righteous religious fundamentalists that brought it to fruition were so crazy they would force women to have to deliver a stillborn baby. Thus, putting women back at high risk of dying in childbirth, something we pretty much eliminated. I’m not sure one single Democrat ever told their constituents that! And, that is not to mention they probably never told you, until it was too late. The religious self-righteous fundamentalists would take away birth control as well.
They are religious radicals and they need to be treated that way. Charlie Kirk called for Nuremberg type trials for physicians who recommended Transgender care. That is nuts! The Democrats make them look normal where in fact they are radicals interfering in others liberties.
