The NFL scouting combine will open Thursday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Former Tennessee defensive back Jermod McCoy was invited to the combine.
Defensive backs are scheduled to take part in on-field drills Friday.

On Thursday, Jordan Reid of ESPN announced McCoy will not participate in position drills or workout at the NFL scouting combine.
“Jermod McCoy will not workout or participate in position drills at the combine,” Reid announced.
McCoy did not play for the Vols during the 2025 season due to rehabbing from an offseason knee injury.
The 6-foot, 193-pound cornerback recorded 44 tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, 71 interception yards, 13 pass deflections, six punt returns and 59 punt return yards in 13 games during his first season at Tennessee in 2024.
He transferred from Oregon State following the 2023 campaign.

The NFL draft will be held April 23–25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after the scouting combine.
